This is what I like to see. People taking an active stand against the corporate world. People don’t have to be violent to make an impact. I ran across this peaceful protest on myspace and thought I would do my part to spread the word.

IN APRIL1997 THERE WAS A”GAS OUT” CONDUCTED NATIONWIDE IN GAS
PRICES. GASOLINE PRICES DROPPED 30 CENTS OVERNIGHT. ON MAY 15TH 2007
ALL MYSPACE MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO NOT GO TO THE STATION IN PROTEST OF
HIGH GAS PRICES. GAS IS NOW OVER $3.00 A GALLON IN MOST PLACES.
THERE IS 73,000,000+AMERICAN MEMBERS CURRENTLY ON THE MYSPACE
NETWORK, AND THE AVERAGE CAR TAKES ABOUT 30 TO 40 TO FILL UP. IF ALL
MYSPACE MEMBERS DID NOT GO TO THE PUMP ON THE 15TH IT WOULD TAKE
$2,200,000,000 (THATS BILLION) OUT OF THE OIL COMPANY’S POCKET FOR
JUST ONE DAY!! SO PLEASE DONT GO TO THE GAS STATION ON MAY 15TH AND
LETS TRY TO PUT A DENT IN THE MIDDLE EASTERN OIL INDUSTRY FOR A
LEAST ONE DAY!

Which got my cogs working on this peaceful resistance movement….I think we should go a step further. I think on Labor day this year we should all not go into work. You cant get fired for not going into to work for one day. If everyone did this is it would show just how dependent everyone is upon the working class. WE are the ones who make the world go round and I am tired of the wealthy and the elite controlling this nation. So I hope that everyone will follow suit with the gas boycott on the 15th and perhaps try to help arrange a no labor day to show the world that we have the power and we should have a voice. We are not just slaves meant to toil in the dirt all day to make their lives better. Just a suggestion. I for one am tired of being a slave.
