The World is the last card of the Major Arcana. Its number is 21 but its placement number is 22. It represents the Hebrew letter tau. Tau means cross, or serpent cross. It is the card of the kingdom or world viewed as Malkuth, which is Saturn. Saturn is a planet or sphere of bondage and material desires. Manifestation of the macrocosm inside the microcosm. As above or outside, so below or inside. The manifestation of the circle the inside and outside of the circumference. The World represents completion and cycles. This is a card of wholeness, the perfection of life and the cosmos. All that needs to be seen has been seen, all that needs to be done has been done. Obstacles have been overcome. The circle has been closed (hence the Ouraborus Snake sign with the end).
One does not conquer the world, one discovers it. The end is only a beginning to a new journey. The crown of one world is the kingdom to another. Kether is a malkuth and malkuth is Kether.1 and 10, 10 and 1.
Saturn or Chronos/Kronos is a god of time. He is also seen as the god eater. The cthtonic mythos of Hades or Persephone in their underground, or darker rite of life. Death is a part of life. Birth is a part of life. The master illusion is life. It is all about recycling energy to be used again. Life is the dragon or Ouraboros chasing its own tale. Saturn is eating his children or gods to maintain that cycle. Saturn’s chariot carries him through the aeons of space and time. There is no day or night in space. There is no real time in space…just perceptions. The Mushrooms are about the experience of the Eleusian Mysteries and Demeter’s mourning for the return of her daughter in the real life cycles of harvest. The seasons of the year parallel. The mushrooms, as well as the serpent and cross represent the male energy of our cosmic consciousness. These mushrooms are phallic shaped and interrelate with the cross and Jesus or birth, death, resurrection and ascension. I have a symbol of Aeon Flux’s eye, pyramid and omnipresent eye. The all-seeing eye or crystal ball or filter of the different dimensions. I have the four Cherubim or Keribum are the 4 sphinxes or angels carrying the chariot in Ezekiel’s vision. These are the four elements of the world coming together to make a new substance of Aether. This is the meaning of the Cross. When four things meet to make a new. This can also portray the polarities or nodes of the universe astrologically and physically. The masculine and feminine energies combine into a hermaphrodite being. A mixture of the two. That is what we are trying to achieve spiritually. We are trying to become one entity again. The Cherubim on my deck are the horror story icons.I believe that because people didn’t always have the freedom to speak their mind or opinions, that there were moral lessons or political ideas being expressed through our folk tales and fairy tales and monster movies. They were trying to represent the oppressed people in a form of media that would reach more people. As time goes on our forms of media or entertainment change, technology advances but the same stories are being recycled and presented in new light. I have the wolfman I would see him as fire or will, the creature from the blue lagoon or (I see him more like the Nommo or aquaman) would be water or emotion, the Mummy is representative of the swords or our mental state, our mind, the zombies or walking dead and Frankenstein is earth or our physical bodies, doll parts brought to life with Electricity or pure fire or lightening of God the Aether of our soul. I have all the hypnotherapy spirals because the black and white spirals of polarity or electromagnetism, because of the Cthtonic or Hypnotized state of man. We are the walking dead or sleeping race lost in the worship of the sun or time. We all turn the wheels in a line. We are like the gears and cogs inside a clock. We keep it running, we keep the world running. Promethea represents the hermaphrodite that is in the center dancing to the Universes spiral dance of life. Promethea has her caduceus staff, the intertwined serpents on the tau. She is drawing down the light to her center. The food item associated with the number on this place is 21 (7 cubed or 777 which is also the lightening or zayin or kundalini or serpent path of the tree), is on a platter of elegant chocolate covered strawberries. Strawberries to me are sour and tart and only good when mixed with something extra sweet. The strawberries are and illusion that they are candy but they are a tart fruit in the center.
